Scope and safety

Educational Disclaimer

The Articulate Method™ offers educational communication practice for adults. It is not a healthcare service.

Training, not therapy

Our lessons, articles, videos, worksheets, assessments and learning tools support everyday speaking practice: clearer words, comfortable pacing, organised answers and more deliberate communication. They do not provide speech therapy, medical diagnosis, clinical treatment or individual healthcare advice.

Using this site does not establish a clinician–patient relationship. Our editorial attribution is not a claim of clinical qualifications. This platform is designed for adults, not for assessing or treating a child’s speech or language development.

Self-assessment is a practice aid

Speaking assessments, recording rubrics, skill ratings and progress summaries help you choose a practice focus and compare your own observations. They are not diagnostic tests or validated clinical scores. A completion percentage measures completed practice, not a medical outcome or proof of proficiency.

AI feedback has limits

AI-assisted feedback and transcription may misunderstand a recording, miss context or suggest an unsuitable exercise. Treat them as optional practice suggestions, not an expert assessment. Check the output against what you actually said and disregard suggestions that feel uncomfortable or do not fit your situation.

Do not include confidential workplace information, another person’s private details or sensitive health information in practice submissions. Read our Privacy & Cookie Policy before using submission-based tools.

Practise comfortably

Use your normal, comfortable voice. Do not force your jaw, breathing, volume or pronunciation. Stop any exercise that causes pain, strain, dizziness or discomfort. A drill is optional; skip or adapt it rather than pushing through symptoms.

When professional support is appropriate

If you have persistent or worsening concerns about speech, voice, hearing, swallowing or communication, seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare or speech-language professional. Do not use website exercises to replace or delay care or to change a treatment plan.

Sudden difficulty speaking or other sudden neurological symptoms require urgent medical attention, not an online practice exercise. Contact your local emergency service.

No guaranteed results or required accent

Progress varies with the person, task and amount of practice. We do not promise a result within a fixed number of days. The 30-day challenge is a practice schedule, not a guarantee of improvement.

The aim is understandable, useful communication—not removing your identity or making every speaker sound alike. A different accent is not, by itself, a disorder.

Examples and external content

Worked examples are illustrative unless explicitly identified otherwise. They are not testimonials or evidence of a learner’s results. Website-authored exercises accompanying a video are not presented as quotations or verified claims from that video. External links and videos do not constitute personalised professional advice.
