The objective
Record one answer for 60 seconds. Do not restart. Listen back once and identify one habit you want to improve during the challenge.
Warm up
- Sit or stand with your feet supported.
- Let your shoulders release.
- Breathe out gently before you begin.
Stop any exercise that causes pain, strain, or dizziness. This program is educational and is not speech therapy. If you have persistent vocal pain, voice loss, hearing difficulty, or concerns about stuttering, consult a qualified professional.
The one key idea
Your first recording is evidence, not a performance. Keep it. You will repeat the same task on Day 30.
Version 1
Begin immediately. Fill every silence. Restart after a mistake.
Version 2
Breathe out. Pause for one second. Begin with one clear sentence and continue after mistakes.
What changed: Version 2 uses a deliberate start, one pause, and recovery without restarting.
Practice pause 1
Answer: What is one skill you use often? Use one pause. Keep going if you forget a word.
Practice pause 2
Answer: What would you like to communicate more clearly? Do not restart or delete the recording.
Review once
- Clarity: Can you hear each important word?
- Fluency: Do you continue after a hesitation?
- Confidence: Does your pace sound controlled?
- Organisation: Is the main point easy to find?
- Connection: Does your tone sound engaged?
Adjust the difficulty
Easier option for B1
Prepare three short points before recording. Use: “First… Second… Finally…”
Harder option for C1
Record without notes. Include one example and one deliberate pause before your final point.
Real-life transfer
Use one deliberate pause before answering a question in one real conversation today.

What should I listen for in my recording?
Review clarity, fluency, confidence, organisation, and connection once, then choose one habit to improve.
Should I prepare notes before recording?
You may prepare three short points if that helps, but keep the recording natural and continue after mistakes.
