Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated 22 September 2026. This page explains what we collect, how advertising on this site works, and how you can change your cookie choices at any time.
Who we are
The Articulate Method™ publishes free articulation and speaking-practice lessons at articulatemethod.com. You can reach us through the contact page.
Information we collect
- What you send us. If you submit the contact form or join the workbook list, we store the details you type so we can reply and send the material you asked for.
- Practice content. Reflections or transcripts you submit for practice feedback are sent to an AI provider to generate that feedback. Voice recordings you make on this site stay on your device unless you choose to submit a transcript.
- Your own progress. Lesson completion, worksheet entries and cookie choices are saved in your browser's local storage on your device, not in our records.
- Usage measurement. With your permission, Google Analytics tells us which pages and lessons are used, in aggregate.
Advertising and Google AdSense
This site participates in Google AdSense. When you allow advertising cookies, Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser to serve ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure ad performance.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time in Google My Ad Center, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
- If you reject advertising cookies here, the AdSense script is not loaded on your visit, and any ads that do appear are non-personalised.
- Our ads.txt file authorises Google as a direct seller of ad space on this site, which helps prevent unauthorised resale of our inventory.
How Google handles data from sites that use its services is described in Google's privacy and terms for partner sites.
Cookies we use
- Strictly necessary — keep pages, forms and your saved progress working. These are always active and cannot be switched off.
- Measurement — Google Analytics (for example
_ga), used only with your permission, to understand which lessons are useful. - Advertising — Google AdSense and its partners (for example
__gads,IDE), used only with your permission, to deliver, limit and measure ads. - Embedded video — lesson videos are embedded through youtube-nocookie.com, which avoids YouTube advertising cookies until you play a video.
Until you make a choice, measurement and advertising storage stay denied through Google consent mode. You can change or withdraw your choice whenever you like:
Legal bases and your rights
We rely on your consent for measurement and advertising cookies and for marketing email, and on our legitimate interest in running and securing the site for strictly necessary cookies. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent. Email us at ArticulateMethod@gmail.com and we will act on your request.
Data sharing and retention
We share data only with the service providers that run this site: our hosting and database provider, Google Analytics and Google AdSense (where allowed), and the AI provider used for practice feedback. We keep form submissions for as long as needed to answer you and to send the material you requested, and we do not sell personal information.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes materially, we update the date at the top of the page and, where the change affects cookies, ask for your choices again.
